Full-day accessible tour visiting the gems of Castile: Segovia and Avila. Both cities are listed as UNESCO World Heritage.
This tour uses a private wheelchair accessible van and involves some walking/rolling. A free scooter is included. Go back in time and let yourself be amazed by the magnificent Alcazar, the impresive aqueduct of Segovia or the Walls of Ávila. Two magical and must see cities.
We will make or first stop in the city of Segovia, which elegantly fuses the best traits of its Roman and medieval past. Visitors ock to see the ancient roman aqueduct and the towering spires of the Alcazar, such a fine structure that it was a key inspiration for Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle. The Cathedral is notable for being the last Gothic cathedral built in Spain, and considered one of the finest ecclesiastic examples of the style in the country. The Alcázar stands out as an awesome archetype of Gothic castle design. Historically, it served as a favorite residence of the Castilian monarchs. Lunch in Segovia
Afternoon: Ávila is city that preserves the most ancient and complete fortified complex in Spain (XI century). Explore the walled city of Avila, Spain’s best-preserved 11th-century fortified town. Its 2500 m wall and its 90 fortified towers surround the old city, which houses great part of its monumental treasure including a large number of Romanesque style churches, gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral of the XII century. We will also visit the Basilica of S. Vicente and the Convent of Santa Teresa
