PACKAGE DETAILS

DAY BY DAY

Day 1.
Meeting at Paris Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Checking in at the hotel.

Day 2.
Paris Left Bank tour. Walking/rolling tour of Paris south of the Seine. We’ll meet at your residence (or a place of your choice) and set out on foot and by bus to see the main attractions and mix with the locals. Among the options are an Eiffel Tower visit, a cruise on the Seine, Hotel des Invalides, home of the War Museum (and where Napoleon’s tomb lies), St. Germain Blvd. and it’s surrounding shopping areas, St. Sulpice Church, Luxembourg Garden, Montparnasse Tower, La Sorbonne University, and the grand boulevards and quaint side streets in between. Can you add anything else on the Left Bank? We’ll tailor the tour to your taste, go at your pace, and stop for lunch, coffee, shopping, etc. wherever and whenever you wish. (6 hours)

Day 3.
Train excursion to Versailles or Fontainebleau castle (manual chairs). Both trips allow visitors to see the greater Paris region from the train, and offer lunch/dinner options in the Versailles or Fontainebleau city center or on castle grounds. Versailles is one of the most visited sites in France. Fontainebleau is smaller, quieter and less crowded. Both are majestic former homes of France’s kings, pillars of French culture, with huge gardens and parks to stroll in. (8 hours)

Day 4.
Paris Right Bank tour. Walking/rolling tour of Paris north of the Seine. We will travel to the northern part of the city to visit Sacré Coeur, including inside the church. On foot and by bus we’ll also do a circuit through the center of the city that includes Le Louvre (courtyard and grounds, or inside for a visit if you like), Tuileries Garden, Paris City Hall, and Notre Dame (inside the cathedral). Other options include Pompidou Center, Ile-St. Louis, Le Marais District, and Place des Vosges, including the accessible Victor Hugo apartment. You’re free to suggest any other attraction or place on the Right Bank that interests you, and choose where and when to stop, relax, eat lunch, drink, shop, visit, etc. (6 hours)

Day 5.
A breakfast at the hotel followed by a half an hour’s farewell drive to Paris Airport.
